Is it grotesque? Yes. Am I happy with it?

Yes-ish. Still needs work, but the idea is (while avoiding spoilers) this black misty stuff corrupts its victims, first turning them violent and burning out their eyes, then gradually transforming and repurposing them.

In later stages, they emit the mist themselves, and seek to turn others. There’s a lot more to it than that, and there’s a guiding force behind them, but man, drawing horrible grisly monsters is fun enough that now I’m a little worried about my own mental state.

I’m not… 100% sold on the glowing eye sockets, but I like the visual representation that whatever this stuff is, the person it’s inhabiting is gone, and something else is looking out from inside.
